FB Scam threaten to delete your account

Social Networking website Facebook scam can delete your account. A new phishing scheme is about as nasty as they come The perpetrators threaten to delete users Facebook accounts unless they hand over various account details within 24 hours, While some of you might welcome such a deletion, most of us would not.

Facebook users may get emails, saying that the user is violating the social network policy regulations by annoying or insulting other Facebook users And the email says, unless certain personal and financial information (including credit card numbers) is submitted within 24 hours, the user’s account will be done away with.
Lisa Vaas said, on Sophos Naked Security blog. The scams are in fact, designed to steal credit card numbers and social media accounts, likely in order to further spread scams and bilk victims, As pointed out by Hoax-Slayer scammer can use the ill-gotten information to hijack a user’s Facebook account. Then, posing as the account holder, the criminals can send out more scam messages and spam to a victim Facebook friends, bolstered by the trust users place in their friends,Once a criminal has gained access to a victim’s account, they will likely lock out the original account holder by changing account passwords and email addresses With the credit card information, fraudsters can conduct identity theft and other malicious financial activity.

Hoax-Slayer warns users not to click on any links in the email itself. Those who fall for the ruse and click the link will be first taken to a fake Facebook Account Disabled web form that asks them to provide Facebook login details and part of their credit card number.

HTC Ville;8mm super-slim smartphone

The upcoming handset from HTC which is supposed to be schedule for a debut at Mobile World Congress is HTC Ville. This is reportd to be the thinnest made smartphone from HTC,unlike Moto RAZR which features the bump.

According to some sources the upcoming Droid will feature  Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 platform. With HTC, and especially looking at the HTC Ville and, even further, the Edge, I can’t honestly say that HTC is really working on making unique-looking handsets. They’ve got their routine down pat, and they don’t seem to be all that excited, or even interested, in changing it.
Stylish metallic unibody design (Image credit: PocketNow)
HTC Ville quick view of  specs:

  • Android OS, v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core processor
  • Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  •  HTC Sense UI 4.0
  • 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash
  • HSDPA, 21 Mbps
  • Li-Ion 1650 mAh

Sure, the HTC Ville is thin, and that’s great. But, that’s not good enough to really change the way that HTC is looked at. Thin is great, and yes, thin is in, there’s no doubt about that. But it is more than time for HTC to not just make phones thin, but it’s time for them to incorporate a new design element. We’ve got plenty of blank slabs out there, and I’m sure there’s going to be plenty more as manufacturers embrace Ice Cream Sandwich, but if they all look the same, what’s the point?

Angry Birds 500 Mn downloads already

Mobile gaming firm Rovio ;Angry Birds had reached a record 500 million downloads in less than two years since its launch.

It's more than any game ever before," Rovio's marketing chief Peter Vesterbacka told a conference in HelsinkiUnlike most mobile-game crazes, Angry Birds -- in which players use a slingshot to attack pigs who steal the birds' eggs -- has stayed at the top of the charts since it was launched for Apple's iPhone on Dec 11, 2009.Vesterbacka said the company's next aim was to reach one billion fans globally, on devices including mobile phones and computers.
The gaming company is expanding the brand across traditional merchandising, to items such as toys and baby products, and is taking the birds to the big screen with film studios.Earlier this year, Rovio raised $42 million from venture capital firms in an investment co-led by Accel Partners, which previously backed Facebook and Baidu, and Skype founder Niklas Zennstroem's venture capital firm Atomico Ventures. Rovio was founded in 2003 after three students including Niklas Hed -- CEO Mikael Hed's cousin and now Rovio's COO -- won a game-development competition sponsored by Nokia Oyj and Hewlett-Packard CO. It changed its name from Relude in 2005
