Facebook to challenge Apple with new platform

Facebook ,one of the most preferred social media to challenge Apple and its policy by  launch of a new mobile platform that will not only be aimed directly at iphone and ipad but also on the Apple's strict App store policy.
The platform, tentatively named "Project Spartan," will use Apple's mobile Safari web browser and allow access to a wealth of content without having to download an app from the store. It will provide users with a new option when it comes to how they use their devices, and allow access to a wealth of Facebook apps.
New Facebook platform which is built on HTML5 to skirt around Apple's lack of flash support will apparently let users purchase and use apps from within the browser itself.Facebook Credits will play a large role as well, acting as the virtual currency for Project Spartan's app marketplace.
There are over 80 Third party developers working on apps for this platform. Apps ranging from games to digital news magazines are already in the works, all of which will be useable from within the browser window, with nothing to download.
Project Spartan will also be supported on Android devices, but Facebook's top priority at this point appears to be Apple and its Safari web browser. There is no official confirmation from Facebook on the project, so a release date remains elusive, but when it arrives, Apple's reaction will be something to watch.
